This year, my little fig tree delivered a bounty so profound I almost didn’t know what to do with it all! I say almost because I truly love feasting upon these divine morsels raw, so that’s always an option. But since I had so many figs, I figured I might as well get creative. First I threw together a no bake mascarpone fig tart with a decadent pistachio crust. Then I concocted a magical vanilla fig jam. For my final haul, I decided to keep things simple by dipping them in chocolate and then sprinkling them with flaky sea salt. Because when in doubt, one should always drown one’s food in molten chocolate. Plus, figs are a slightly more elegant take on the chocolate covered fruit genre. I don’t know why that matters, but I think it’s kinda neat.
