Lavender Sage Gin Sour

Equipment

  • 1 Cocktail shaker

Ingredients

Sage simple syrup

  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 5 Large sage leaves (fresh)

Lavender Sage Gin Sour

  • 2 oz Empress gin (or gin of your choice)
  • 1 oz Lemon juice (freshly squeezed, please)
  • 1/2 oz Egg white or aqua faba
  • 1/2 oz Sage simple syrup
  • 3 drops Lavender bitters

Instructions

  • Make the simple syrup. To do this, simmer water, sugar, and sage in a saucepan until the sugar is completely dissolved. Then remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes to let the sage infuse a bit more.
  • To make the drink, add ice and all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Then pour into a coupe glass and enjoy!

Notes

Garnish with a slice of lemon, a slice of dried lemon, a little bit of lavender, a sage leaf, or nothing at all!
