Jasmine Rose Iced Tea

Jasmine Rose Iced Tea

The other day, I was dying of heat and looking for something refreshing to drink. Problem was, I was sick of everything in my house. Since popping out for a quick errand is a thing of the past, I started brainstorming simple concoctions using things I already had. I landed on iced jasmine tea with a bunch of rosebuds thrown into it. Sure, I’d had both of those things separately. And hot. But cold and combined seemed like it could do the trick. It wasn’t anything special, but it would do.

Little did I know, this jasmine rose iced tea would become my new favorite summertime drink. This stuff is beyond refreshing, and the delicate flavors mingle perfectly. And perhaps best of all, it only requires three ingredients, one of which is water, which barely even counts. Now, you might already have jasmine teabags lying around. Unless you’re a rose obsessed weirdo like me, however, you probably need to get some rosebuds. If that’s the case, I’d recommend Suncore’s premium dried rosebuds. This isn’t sponsored or anything – I just think their stuff is really high quality.

Jasmine Rose Iced Tea

Ingredients

  • 3 Jasmine green tea teabags
  • 20 Loose rosebuds
  • 1 kettle Water

Instructions

  • Fill a kettle with water and heat it to about 200° Fahrenheit.
  • Pour the water into a pitcher and add the teabags and loose rosebuds.
  • Let steep for about 5 minutes, then remove the tea and rosebuds. Fill the rest of the pitcher up with ice, and enjoy! This is great immediately, or after hanging out in the fridge for a bit.

And that’s it! Like I said, this recipe is ridiculously simple. But sometimes the simple things in life are just the best, and I felt so strongly about this iced tea that I had to share it. If you end up making it, let me know in the comments or on Instagram!
